Blue Air BMB Blow Mould Booster

The BMB Blow Mould Booster is a compact, lightweight internal cooling unit, the "little brother" of the CAC system. It is used to cool the inner surface of extrusion blow molded products.

How does it work?

The BMB cools the blowing air to +4 °C. In this way the product also cools from the inside during blowing and cooling is faster. The process air is between 160 – 540 Nm³/h.

Who is it for?

It is particularly suitable for the packaging sector and technical blow molded parts; it can also be used for needle blowing. It stands out in special applications such as small, thin-walled bottles.

Installation

Installation is simple; it is added to the existing system with very little effort on a plug-and-play basis and can be installed by the customer. The investment cost is low.

• Depending on the product, the production increase can reach up to 15%; in the examples in the brochure, values between 8% and 15% are given.
• Energy consumption is low and it needs almost no maintenance.
• It is suitable for almost all blow molding machines; the system is CFC-free.

CAC or BMB?

The CAC provides a higher cooling gain with −35 °C air and requires fully automatic integration. The BMB gives a lower gain with +4 °C, but is compact, light and low in investment. A comparison of the two systems is on the Blow Molding Machine Product Cooling page.
