Digicolor
Digicolor is a machine manufacturer in Bünde, Germany, building material conveying, drying, dosing and granulating equipment for plastics processing plants. Its product range covers the entire chain the granulate passes through from the warehouse until it reaches the feed zone of the injection molding machine.

Instead of smashing the material by impact at high speed, they cut it at low speed; the result is less dust, a more uniform particle size and quiet operation. The series ranges from the Mini Goliath, which runs at 25 rpm and 0.55 kW, to the Titan Plus for bulky parts. MASHER can be added for feeding bulky parts, and the IMD system, which stops within 40 milliseconds, for metal protection.

Why granulating quality matters
Returning regrind to production is not only a raw material saving; it also directly affects part quality. An irregular particle size shifts the mixing ratio in the dosing unit, and dust builds up in the dryer and in the conveying line.
