The Ferlin HotDry series are economical machine-side dryers that dry plastic granulate with heated air (hot air). They are ideal for NON-hygroscopic (non moisture absorbing) materials — such as polyethylene (PE/HDPE/LDPE), polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS). Because these materials hold moisture only on the surface, the surface moisture is removed quickly by heated air circulation.
Hot air drying is NOT sufficient for hygroscopic (moisture absorbing) plastics (PA, PC, ABS, PET and so on); for these materials the dry air (desiccant) Ferlin EasyDry series should be used. HotDry is a practical solution for non-hygroscopic materials with a low investment and operating cost.
The machine consists of a stainless steel body, a heater + circulation fan, the ATR144 process and safety thermoregulators (BT1 process / BT2 safety) and a wheeled carrier frame. With hopper volume options of 150–1500 L it is selected according to your production capacity.
