HH Series

The HH series covers the medium tonnage band with a toggle design that balances speed and precision. There are seven models between 200 and 1,300 Tons.

The advantage of the toggle design

The toggle mechanism produces the clamping force through a mechanical linkage. This design has two practical consequences: the mold opening and closing movement is fast, and no continuous hydraulic pressure is needed to hold the clamping force. In production where the cycle time is short and the mold opens and closes frequently, this difference shows up in the total capacity.

Which jobs it suits

It suits plants working in the medium tonnage band in general purpose production that care about cycle time. It is widely used in packaging, household goods, automotive supply and technical part production.

Choosing a model within the series

From the drop-down list you can reach all the models between 200 and 1,300 Tons. The tonnage is calculated from the projected area of the part and the cavity pressure of the material; the injection unit is selected by shot weight. The shot weight must stay within the 20 – 80% range of the screw capacity. For the calculations you can use the injection calculation tools.

Alternatives

Planning the auxiliary equipment

Once the machine has been chosen, the remaining links of the line should be planned: a dryer if the raw material is moist, a dosing unit if color or additives are used, and a temperature control unit if the mold temperature is critical. Added later, these items become harder in terms of both cost and layout.
