The DC-MICRO is a volumetric micro dosing unit designed for the precise addition of very small masterbatch and additive ratios.
Self-optimizing dosing
The distinguishing feature of the device is its self-optimizing dosing mode. All the operator has to do is enter the shot weight and the additive ratio; the device sets the rest itself. At micro ratios manual adjustment is difficult, and a small deviation means a large difference in percentage terms; this mode removes that risk.
Installation is simple and is made directly above the feed screw of the processing machine.
DC-MICRO-2: two additives at once
In the DC-MICRO-2 version the device has one hopper for the main component (virgin material) and two separate dosing hoppers. In this way two different additives, or masterbatch together with an additive, can be added to the main component in the required ratios.
Where is it used?
DC-MICRO units have become established especially in injection molding applications that produce small parts: the electrical sector, medical technology, automotive, mechanical engineering and the toy sector.
Feeding
The virgin material hopper and the dosing hoppers are fed by hand or by small conveying units fixed to the hopper. For automatic feeding a single conveying unit can be used; small material separators connected to a central vacuum station do the same job.
Because the dosed quantity is very small, the additive hoppers are usually filled by hand or with small venturi feeders. For storing the granulate and additives to be dosed, small containers or the C-50 stainless container are suitable.
