LEAN Series

The LEAN (DHT) series aims at fast response and low energy consumption through its low inertia design. From the drop-down list on this page you can reach all the models between 90 and 3,350 Tons.

What sets the series apart

As the moving mass decreases, the energy needed to accelerate and stop that mass decreases as well. That is the design logic of the LEAN; the response time shortens and the energy consumption falls. The effect is seen most in short-cycle production — as the number of accelerations and decelerations per cycle rises, the difference grows in total.

Who is it suitable for

Plants that run long hours, care about their energy costs and want to work with the same control logic across a wide tonnage band. A wide band under one roof also simplifies operator training and spare part management.

Choosing a model in this series

With the LEAN, the energy gain is directly proportional to the machine's operating hours. In a plant running a single shift the difference stays limited, while on three shifts the investment difference is closed markedly sooner. Line planning

Energy saving does not come only from the machine. In an injection molding plant a significant part of the consumption is on the drying and cooling side; a dryer that is oversized or runs continuously can take back what was gained at the machine.
