TEMP 90W TS is the entry and most widely used class of water-based mold temperature control units. From the drop-down list on this page you can reach all the models in the 90 °C band — including the TEMP, TEMP-L, TEMP-XL and TEMP-XXL body sizes and the WDC direct cooling versions.
Heater power determines how quickly you bring the mold up to the target temperature; on molds with a large thermal mass, insufficient power means starting production late. Pump flow must provide the flow that circulates through all the circuits in the mold — on multi-circuit molds the flow becomes critical. Tank volume, in turn, affects the temperature stability of the system.
For correct sizing, the mold weight, the number of circuits and the target temperature are assessed together.
This range covers most standard thermoplastics: PP, PE, PS, ABS and many engineering plastics. For materials that need a higher mold temperature, pressurized water systems are used — because water boils at 100 °C at atmospheric pressure, working above 90 °C requires a pressurized circuit.
Direct cooling (WDC) models bring the cooling water into the circuit directly rather than through a heat exchanger. The response time shortens; in return, sensitivity to water quality increases.
For higher temperature requirements you can look at the 140 °C and 160 °C series.
