DMSterile is the version of the DMS mold dehumidification units that produces germ- and virus-free air. While removing moisture from the mold area, it also creates a sterile atmosphere.
Who is it for?
Food and pharmaceutical manufacturers sterilize their production areas as routine practice. From the plastics processors that make their packaging, these companies also expect sterile, low-particle production. Products such as pharmaceutical containers, PET preforms and closures come into contact only with sterile air throughout production in the enclosed mold area.
Why is it needed?
Microorganisms multiply where there is moisture and heat; in production halls both are often present. Aging or poorly maintained air conditioning, ventilation and even production machine filters make it easier for germs and viruses to spread. Aseptic production prevents costly decontamination operations later on.
The Clean Blue Air system
Aseptic dehumidification is carried out with the Clean Blue Air system and supplies microorganism-free air to the production process. Because it works together with the existing dehumidification technology, the dehumidification function is retained. The manufacturer states that with DMS dehumidification the energy requirement of the production process is reduced by up to 80%.
DMSterile is a DMS option; it is configured together with DMS for a single machine, or with DMS Module for lines and central systems. The configuration is determined according to the required process air volume.
