GRAVIMIX FGB10-2 is the master model of the central blending series designed for high-consumption lines. From the drop-down list you can reach the FGB10 models with different numbers of components.
The FGB10 series goes up to the level of 2,000 kg/h. This scale usually corresponds to installations feeding not a single machine but several machines or a single high-consumption line. Extrusion and high-volume injection molding production are its typical areas of use.
At this scale both excess and insufficient capacity are costly. An oversized blender can hold up the line during batch preparation and raises the investment unnecessarily; insufficient capacity, on the other hand, leaves the line dependent on the blending rate. Sizing is done by assessing the hourly consumption of the line and the batch change frequency together.
Every additional component means its own hopper and calibration. If your recipe is fixed and simple, a configuration with fewer components lowers both the investment and the maintenance burden.
At this scale the raw material cost is the dominant item in the total part cost; batch-based consumption reporting gives direct cost control. For the calculation you can look at the cost per part article.
