GRAVIMIX FGB25

GRAVIMIX FGB25-2 is the master model of the highest capacity central blending series in the range. From the drop-down list you can reach the FGB25 models with different numbers of components.

The top capacity band

The FGB25 series goes up to the level of 3,210 kg/h. At this scale the blender is no longer an auxiliary piece of equipment but one of the main components that determine the capacity of the line. Extrusion lines, compound production and large multi-machine plants are its typical areas of use.

Correct sizing at this scale

Capacity must be chosen not by the hourly consumption of the line but by its peak consumption. If the busiest scenario, with all lines running at the same time, is not taken as the basis, the blender becomes a bottleneck. On the other hand, excess capacity increases both the investment and the time the blend waits.

Raw material cost is decisive

At this level of consumption even a small deviation in the masterbatch and additive ratio makes a meaningful difference to the annual cost. The extra additive given as a safety margin in volumetric dosing becomes a directly visible item at this scale; that is also why the payback period of a gravimetric system is shorter.

Maintenance and access

On systems with a large body, access for cleaning and maintenance must be planned at the installation stage. When the layout is made, the space needed for filling the hoppers, calibration and cleaning must be left free.
