Alarm Signal Lamp 80 dB

The Alarm Signal Lamp lets the operator notice immediately an alarm condition on the hot runner control unit.

It connects to the alarm contact of the TP series control unit and gives an 80 dB audible and visual warning. In a noisy production environment a warning on the screen may go unnoticed; the audible lamp removes this risk.

Conditions that trigger a warning: a sensor break, leakage and the temperature going outside the alarm band. When these faults go unnoticed the zone temperature drifts and parts are scrapped — an early warning directly reduces scrap.

The alarm has to be noticed

When the control unit detects a problem in a zone, it shows a warning on its screen. But the unit is often beside the machine, in a position the operator does not look at constantly. An unnoticed temperature alarm turns into scrap production within minutes.

Visual and audible warning

The signal lamp connects to the alarm output of the unit and makes the condition visible from a distance. The 80 dB audible warning is loud enough to be heard even in a noisy mold shop environment. The operator notices the problem at once even when not standing at the machine.

Where it makes a difference

• Production where one operator looks after more than one machine
• Night shifts and working with few staff
• Layouts where the unit is positioned behind the machine or up high
• Production with long cycles — the operator may move away from the machine

Installation

The lamp (700-02-00) connects to the alarm output of the TP series control unit. When positioning it, the line of sight from the operator's working area, not from the unit, should be the reference; a lamp left behind the machine defeats its purpose.
