Equipment Trolley

The Equipment Trolley allows the hot runner control unit to be moved safely between machines.

The aluminum profile frame carries two shelves and cable hangers; thanks to the lockable twin casters the trolley does not shift during operation.

Putting the control unit on the trolley instead of keeping it on the floor or on a makeshift stand prevents the cables from trailing on the floor and the unit from being exposed to dust and knocks.

The problem of moving the control unit

Hot runner control units are heavy and contain sensitive electronics. Carrying them by hand between machines is risky both for occupational safety and for the equipment; moving them by forklift, on the other hand, is usually not practical. The equipment trolley fills this gap.

Construction

The aluminum profile frame carries two shelves; there is a carrying capacity of 30 kg per shelf. Its total weight is 14.1 kg and its dimensions are 410 × 635 × 900 mm. Being light means it can be moved by one person; the aluminum construction is also resistant to corrosion.

Why it should not be left on the floor

A control unit standing on the floor is exposed both to the risk of knocks and to the ingress of dust and oil; the ventilation grilles draw in floor dust and over time the internal temperature rises.
