Drywell large dryers are specially developed granulate dryers with hopper volumes of up to 5,000 liters. They are used primarily in injection molding and extrusion applications with high material consumption.
Where does the heat stay?
Thick-walled thermal insulation is placed between the inner and outer shells of the drying hopper. The process heat is kept inside the hopper and not released to the surroundings. In large-volume dryers this is the decisive point for energy consumption: the more air that is heated, the greater the cost of the heat lost.
The system also works with low regeneration temperatures; the dry air is put under less strain. Because no long, hot pipe connection is needed, the energy loss along the line is also kept to a minimum.

Drying time control
SmartMode monitors the drying time and prevents over-drying: the material is dried exactly as much as it needs. In a large hopper the granulate residence time is long; without this function the material at the bottom of the hopper could stay in the heat longer than necessary.
Adsorption honeycomb
The moisture is removed from the drying air in an adsorption honeycomb. Because the honeycomb is regenerated continuously, the dew point stays constant at the set value. Rotor technology keeps the air dust-free. The system requires no compressed air or cooling water.
