Drywell machine-mounted dryers are used to dry free-flowing plastic granulate directly on top of the processing machine. The dryer is adapted to the feed flange of the injection molding machine; the dried material drops to the screw by the shortest route.
The advantage of this arrangement is that the dried material has no opportunity to take moisture back during conveying. There is no distance between the hopper and the feed zone.
If there is no room on top of the machine
Where the dryer does not fit on top of the machine, the dry air dryer can be installed beside the machine so that it takes up extremely little space. This option is intended for lines with layout restrictions.
Two hopper sizes
On the Drywell DW 12 type the hopper volume can be chosen from 1 liter to 25 liters, and on the DW 25 type from 25 liters to 60 liters. The hopper volume is determined by the hourly consumption and the drying time the material requires.
Settings and housing
The drying parameters can be set and optimized individually according to the granulate or product to be processed. Because the housing is stainless, it is durable in an industrial environment.
Adsorption honeycomb
The moisture is removed from the drying air in an adsorption honeycomb. Because the honeycomb is regenerated continuously, the dew point stays constant at the set value. Rotor technology keeps the air dust-free. The system requires no compressed air or cooling water.
