// About the Product

Product Description and Technical Details

A powerful magnetic rod with a stainless steel body; it is the basic magnetic component of all separator systems. It is also used on its own in filter and grid applications.

The part inside every separator

The magnetic rod is the basic component of all grid and drawer separators. It consists of magnet blocks arranged inside a stainless tube; the pole arrangement between the blocks creates a high-gradient field at the surface. It is this gradient that holds the particles — how quickly the field changes is as decisive as its strength.

Use on its own

The rod can be supplied directly, without being tied to a ready-made housing. It is placed in an existing hopper, a filter seat, inside a mixer or in a custom-made channel. It is also used as a spare part: rods that have lost their strength over the years or whose surface has been damaged are renewed without changing the housing.

Temperature warning

If the magnet's own temperature limit is exceeded, permanent loss of strength occurs, and this is not visible from outside; the separator stays in place but does not do its job. If it is to be mounted at hot points such as a dryer outlet, the magnet grade must be chosen accordingly. Periodic strength measurement is the only way to catch rods that have quietly weakened.

Periodic strength measurement

The strength of magnets can decrease over the years and this is not visible from outside — the rod stays in place but does not do its job. Carrying out a magnetic field measurement once a year is the only reliable way to notice rods that have quietly weakened. On rods exposed to high temperature this check should be made more often.
