Directional Valves

A directional control valve sets the direction of movement by deciding which side of the cylinder the oil reaches. On an injection molding machine, mold opening and closing, injection forward and back, and the ejector movements all run on the switching of these valves.

Safety directional valves are part of the safety circuit: they bring the system to a safe position when power is cut. A failure in these valves is not merely lost production but a safety issue — the machine is never run with them bypassed.
