Hydraulic Motors
Hydraulic motors, and the servo or asynchronous drive motors that turn the pump.
The motors in this group do two different jobs: hydraulic motors turn oil pressure into rotary movement (screw rotation, for example), while drive motors turn the pump.
On servo-driven machines the motor speed changes continuously, so bearing and fan loads differ from a conventional fixed-speed motor. The first sign of motor trouble is usually a rise in current or in housing temperature.

Is it time to replace?
- Motor current running higher than normal
- Housing temperature rising, the fan no longer keeping up
- An irregular howl or vibration from the bearing
- Torque loss in screw rotation, plasticizing time lengthening
