VARIO Series — Temperature Control for 4 to 32 Zones
VARIO covers the most widely used range in hot runner temperature control: from 4 zones to 32 zones, in steps of 4. There are 8 models: VARIO 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32.
With the master-slave feature two units can be combined — requirements above 32 zones are managed from a single interface.
Key features
- Microprocessor-controlled multi-loop controller — calculates the control parameters automatically for each zone, no manual PID tuning required
- Tiltable 7 inch touch panel — comfortable reading from different angles at the machine
- Reduction / Boost — temperature lowering and raising, manually or from a 24 V DC external control circuit
- Leakage monitoring — nozzle leakage is detected early
- Load shedding on triac failure — safe shutdown in the event of a short circuit
- Carrying handles and externally accessible fuses — ease of service

Central data storage and management is possible over Ethernet; mold recipes can be transferred from a central point.
With needle valve and pressure measurement
VARIO works integrated over Ethernet with the NVS needle valve control system and DMS cavity pressure measurement; the data is displayed on the VARIO interface.
