Glass-fiber and mineral-filled material abrades the pipe wall from the inside. This wear is slow in a straight pipe and fast at elbows and branch points. A significant part of the Michel Tube range addresses this problem: wear-resistant pipes, elbows and fittings last many times longer than their standard stainless equivalents.
It is not necessary to make the entire line wear resistant; the critical points are elbow outlets, branch points and diameter reductions.
