Hopper Loaders Connected to a Central System
MOVAC VC series hopper loaders work connected to a central vacuum line. They have no motors or pumps of their own; they draw the material with the vacuum produced by the central pump group. This means fewer mechanical parts on the machine, less noise and a lower maintenance burden.
How does it work?
When the material level in the loader hopper falls, the level sensor gives a signal; the valve on the central line opens and the material is drawn into the hopper by vacuum. When the hopper is full the valve closes and the material discharges into the machine hopper by gravity. The filter holds back the dust of the conveyed material and is cleaned periodically.

The R and G suffixes indicate the difference in body and equipment. The vacuum and material pipe connections are 40 mm as standard; the transparent body option allows the material flow to be watched by eye.
The difference from independent loaders
In loaders connected to a central system the vacuum source is shared — a single pump group feeds several machines. Independent loaders with their own motor work separately at each machine; they require no central line installation but do need an electrical connection and maintenance at every machine.

Loaders connected to a central vacuum
This series consists of hopper loaders without their own motor; they take their drawing power from the central vacuum source. As there is no motor at each machine, the noise, the number of maintenance points and the number of electrical connections all fall.
That is the difference from independent loaders: the MOVAC Easy series works with its own motor and can be installed on its own, whereas this series is part of a central system.
Choosing a model
What is decisive is the hourly consumption of the machine and the hopper volume. If the hopper is chosen too small the loader runs constantly and puts an unnecessary load on the vacuum source; if it is chosen too large, dried material waits a long time inside the hopper and can pick up moisture.
The simultaneity calculation
How many loaders will run at the same time on a central system determines the sizing of the vacuum source. Taking the total capacity of all the loaders means an unnecessarily large pump; a realistic simultaneity ratio is determined by looking at the production pattern.
